but is anyone going to be at h20i? I wouldn't stance a car of my own, but it seems that along with all the swag and scene cookie-cutter cars there, there are a lot of really cool cars there. Cars with absurd amount of character that you just don't see every day.
I've never been before and don't know much about the event, but my friend whose dad has a 2008 CLS63 just asked if i wanted to make the drive down with him for a day in the AMG. It isn't terribly far (only 3 hrs).. is it worth it? We wouldn't get ticketed for anything, having a stock car, but i think it'd be amusing to see tickets being handed out for camber and such. Or are the people really tasteless enough to make it not worth going?
Some questionably tasteful but certainly outrageous cars for ya time

I want to see pics and videos of stupid stance cars scraping and losing bumpers. I will never be able to respect or understand a trend like this that serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever and is absolutely a waste of time, money and use of a good car.
In short, stance is shit. But I bet it'd be something different to go to.

I wouldn't go. Besides my general complete distaste for the stance crowd, I'd probably hate it there. It seems like many people who go just act like complete f$%ktards. General hooliganism(not the good kind), and disrespect for the law and people's property. Already read of people getting themselves thrown out from hotels and such. And I am in the age group of most people who go to these things. I like a good party and love cars but it sounds like a big dumb mess to me.

I know, I wouldn't be going to try and fit in, prove a point, or make friends, just to observe! but the general consensus I'm getting is that they have truly driven the culture to shit and anything that has or was about automotive passion is now just about attention and being "the most"

Yup, they like their cars but I think they focus just on gaining attention from the nonsense that is stance. If you tried to hold a car conversion about anything else I know first hand they can't bring anything to the table. They don't get any respect from the rest of the car community because they don't give any.

I'm sort of like you. I would never stance my owned car but in all reality I have nothing against it. It's the owners car and he/she should do with it what he/she wants.
For sure you will probably see something interesting. If you have nothing better to do I would definitely go.
